Decentralized Philanthropy for the Next Generation

Welcome to iRise NFT, where we usher in the New Era of Philanthropy. As a groundbreaking social impact project, we blend the power of web3 technology with the core values of equity, intersectionality, and transparency to redefine the future of giving.

Founded by Krisandra Kneer MS MPH, a visionary digital artist and social justice advocate, our mission is to empower grassroots organizations that serve underserved and marginalized communities across various public health issues.

Embracing the revolutionary capabilities of smart contracts and blockchain technology, we connect with millennial and gen-z values to create a decentralized, transparent, and community-driven model of philanthropy. Here at iRise, our vision is to champion equity, impact, and justice by fostering intentional intersectionality and harnessing decentralized technology to distribute support across diverse sectors, effectively addressing complex social issues.

Our Mission

  • Promote equity from the ground up by providing monetary support to grassroots organizations actively combating disparities seen across BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and low-wealth communities

  • Fill the gaps of the institutional systems and increase accessibility to resources for societies' most marginalized & stigmatized populations

  • Amplify the voices of community stakeholders actively working to combat social issues through sustainable, scalable solutions with measurable impact across web3

Embracing Web3 for Philanthropy

iRise NFT leverages the power of web3 technology to revolutionize the charitable sector and modernize philanthropic giving through the use of blockchain technology. Instead of relying on conventional nonprofit fundraising methods, iRise will acquire donations through the sale of annual NFT collections beginning in 2024. Equipped with smart contracts, these NFTs will automatically disburse funds across impact organizations with each transaction instantaneously upon mint.

Benefits of Building in Web3

  • Transparency via blockchain public ledger

  • Support numerous social issues and nonprofit organizations simultaneously

  • Community-centric mindset/opportunities for collaboration with other web3 impact projects

  • Ability to establish an NFT holder community and offer perks/incentives to supporters of our mission

By the Next Generation for the Next Generation

The selection and on-boarding of impact organizations as donation recipients will be completed through a compensated student internship program under the supervision of iRise founder Krisandra Kneer. The program will consist of four highly motivated college/grad students pursuing careers in social impact-related fields, with the first cohort starting in Spring Semester 2025 (Jan-May).

Internship Activities

  • Research, due diligence, and evaluation of potential impact organizations

  • Selection and on-boarding of impact organizations to generative collection smart contract

  • Ongoing mentorship and capacity-building activities within the web3 change-maker community

  • Coordination of event programming with impact organizations to elevate their missions across web3 and social media platforms

Future Expansion & Long-term Sustainability

Using the funds allocated from the inaugural 2024 Collection mint, iRise NFT will expand meaningful engagement opportunities for young change-makers to the larger web3 community through the formation of compensated committee positions:

  • Artist Amplification Committee: support the work of underrepresented creatives in the web3 space

  • Scholarship Committee: improve accessibility of the web3 space to marginalized communities through educational initiatives and trainings

  • Community Engagement Committee: foster collaborative opportunities between iRise and the larger web3 change-maker community

  • Event Planning Committee: amplify the message of iRise and work of impact partners through coordination of virtual and IRL events
